About the Role:
FPT Telecom is scaling up its IC Design division to build next-generation "Make in Vietnam" AI Chips for smart cameras and IoT devices. We are seeking a talented Physical Design Engineer to join our backend team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming RTL designs into physical silicon layouts, optimizing for Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) in advanced technology nodes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of block-level or top-level Physical Design execution from Netlist to GDSII.
- Perform core PD tasks including Floorplanning, Power Planning, Placement, Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS), and Routing.
- Execute and analyze Static Timing Analysis (STA), debug timing violations (setup/hold), and achieve timing closure.
- Perform physical verification (DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna) and resolve layout rule violations.
- Conduct Power/Signal Integrity analysis (IR Drop, EM).
- Work closely with RTL Design, DFT, and Verification teams to resolve design challenges and ensure successful tape-out.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Tcl, Python) to automate physical design workflows.
YÊU CẦU CÔNG VIỆC
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in Physical Design.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools (Synopsys ICC2/DC/PrimeTime or Cadence Innovus/Genus/Tempus).
- Solid understanding of physical design concepts, STA, low-power design techniques, and CMOS fabrication processes.
- Experience with Physical Verification tools (e.g., Mentor Calibre).
- Strong scripting skills (Tcl, Python, Perl, or Shell).
- Soft Skills: Good problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team. Good English reading and writing skills.
